Chris Smith is an artist based in Preston, Lancashire. Throughout his twelve years as an award winning landscape designer, Chris has incorporated outdoor sculptural installations into his gardens, this interest has led him to develop his own sculptural practice which he has just launced in Spring 2022 with ‘standing horse’.
Standing horse has already been attracting attention from private collectors in the UK and internationally, as well as from public bodies.
If you are looking to commission a new piece of sculpture, I will work in collaboration with you to bring your ideas to life. The process will start with an initial meeting/conversation to discuss your ideas, establish a brief and discuss budget. The next step will be the design stage, in which different ideas and designs are explored. Once complete the finished design can be discussed, along with any amendments, the costs and likely timescales.
Finally, once a decision has been reached, a commission agreement will be completed, to confirm the intention to proceed.
The payment is arranged as follows - 50% of the budget will be required for the work to commence, with the final balance paid upon completion.
